Pipeshield International has successfully manufactured and loaded-out 290 fronded and non-fronded PRP units at their Port of Blyth facility in the North East of England. The PRPs are bound for a subsea cable project in the Irish Sea.
Pipeshields innovative fronded PRP design encourages sediment build-up by slowing down the current and trapping sediment in the individual frond lines. The use of fronds, therefore, is an excellent solution when looking at increasing the burial depth of a subsea asset or mitigating scour around an asset.
